Construction Supply Group buys Californian distributor

Construction Supply Group (CSG) has bought a Californian distributor – its 10th acquisition since being formed two years ago.

Constar Construction Supply has been operating two branches in California since 1997. Its acquisition brings CSG’s number of branches to 87, with over 1,150 employees.

Constar Construction Supply is the 10th acquisition for the Construction Supply platform. CSG was formed in late 2016 through the acquisitions of Brock White Company, Border Construction Specialties and Stetson Building Products formed Construction Supply Group. Expansion has continued, including this year with the acquisitions of Zia Concrete Supply, Williams Equipment & Supply, and Richform Construction Supply

Constar Construction Supply will be integrated into the CSG's Southwestern business unit, Border Construction Specialties. "We are pleased to join the Construction Supply Group team and their platform will allow us to better serve our customers looking forward," said Bill Morse, owner of Constar Construction Supply.

“This acquisition furthers our goal of building a best-in-class wholesale distribution company across North America," said Mitch Williams, CEO of Construction Supply Group. CSG will continue to seek further additions to add to its family of construction distribution businesses.
