Contractor appointed for F35 simulator facility at Miramar
Harper Construction has been appointed to build a facility at Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Miramar to house simulators for F-35 fighters.

When complete, the facility will support six full mission simulators and will include administrative and conference spaces as well as classrooms. The project is expected to be completed by May 2020.
Harper Construction’s US$30.8m firm-fixed-price task order was awarded under a previously awarded, multiple-award construction contract.
The facility will support six full mission simulators and support spaces including administrative, classroom, and conferences spaces. The building will also include space for other training devices.
The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Southwest, San Diego, California, is the client for the work.
