Louisiana invites three to bid for interchange project

Louisiana Department of Transportation & Development (DOTD) has announced the shortlist for the third contract of the Loyola interchange project.

The three design-build proposers are being advance to the request for proposals (RFP) phase of the design-build procurement for the project. The work involves Loyola interchange improvements to Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport in Jefferson Parish.

Each shortlisted company will be invited to submit a proposal identifying its ability to plan, design, construct and control the project.

The three are:

  • James Construction;
  • Boh Bros Construction;
  • Gilchrist Construction.

The estimated cost for the project is US$95 to US$125 million. The successful proposal will be identified by public opening in spring 2019. A contract execution and notice to proceed are anticipated in August 2019.

The shortlist was announced last week for another contract under the scheme (link opens in new tab).
