Skanska signs for $189m hospital tower

Skanska has signed US$189m contract to build a 13-story at a university hospital in North Carolina.

There will be 350 rooms for patients in the 13-story tower at Duke University Healthcare’s main campus in Durham. The tower will also house adult and pediatric medical-surgical and ICU rooms, two labs and rooms for bone marrow transplants and isolation.

The project is expected to be completed during the fall of 2021.
